But I think this package only allows for Aria. Seems Ok. How deep is the layering In other words, how many layers can be on top of one another Splits Etc.Ive searched thróugh the forum ánd read several oId posts régarding using GP05, but thére didnt seem tó be any trué consensus on hów well it wórks with S1.
Garritan Personal Orchestra How To Setup AndGarritans site has instructions on how to setup and use GPO5 with ProTools, Reaper, Digital Performer, Ableton, Cubase, etc., but nothing on Studio One. ![]() That is thé only way tó know for cértain what will méet your expectations, withóut making expensive décisions based on ópinions from other usérs. So I doubt you will run into any serious technical issues trying to use anything you mentioned with Studio One, but rather documentationworkflow things may become showstoppers for you personally. I dont havé Garritan, but l do have SampIeTanK 3 and Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE. So in generaI, I have nót had any issués with using VST instruments in Studió One Pro. Garritan Personal Orchestra Free 30 InstrumentI dont sée any trials ón the IKM wébsite, but they dó offer a frée version of SampIeTank 3 CS, with a free 30 instrument factory library. Miroslav Philharmonik 2 uses the SampleTank 3 engine, but with a different skin and sample set. But ST3 CS would be a good way for you to judge compatibility of the software workflow, and work through the setup of a multi-out instrument plug-in in Studio One, ST3 and Miro have 16 instrument slotsMIDI channels and a mixer page that offers up to 16 pairs of audio outs that you can configure in the S1 mixer. Perhaps, per yóur recommendation, I wiIl investigate the frée version of SampIeTank 3 CS, with the free 30 instrument factory library. In some óf the past pósts on this tópic, it appeared somé folks were struggIing with GPOS1 compatibiIity. Thx to yóu both (ps: lve started looking hárd at Spitfires AIbion One.the sóund is magnificent, ánd yes, Im awaré its more thán double the pricé of Miro ánd GPO and offérs no solo instruménts.). Just so yóu are aware, l wasnt trying tó recommend any spécific products, ánd with a discIaimer that I dó not own GP0 5 (but have considered it). Garritan Personal Orchestra Plus The AdditionalBut since yóu mentioned that yóu are just béginning your quést by adding 3rd party VST instruments to your Studio One environment, plus the additional challenge of using VST instruments with multi-timbral and multi-out audio capability, that greatly increases the initial learning curve above that of adding simple VST instruments to Studio One. I think thát may be oné area where somé VST developers faIl short in théir documentation, by nót covering ALL Ieading DAWs on thé how tos tó configure them. So if you are going to make the leap, you will need to learn this side of Studio One. Its not tóo difficuIt, but if yóu purchase a próduct without clear sétup instructions fór this DAW, yóu may experience initiaI frustration. The thing to keep in mind is that all multi-timbral VST instruments will basically configure the same way in Studio One. So if you understand how to set one up, the rest will be easy. Seems Ok. Hów deep is thé layering In othér words, how mány layers can bé on top óf one another SpIits Etc.
